About Me

My name is Katherine Wallisch. I recently moved to Las Vegas after being overseas for 7 years working in Madagascar, South Africa and the United Kingdom (UK). I hold a Master's of Science with Merit Degree in Speech and Language Therapy from the University of Essex, United Kingdom. I am ASHA certified and licensed in the state of Nevada and the UK. Additionally, I strive to constantly ensure that my treatments are evidence-based, relying on the latest research.

Following my passion for speech therapy and helping others, especially those who need the most care, I have worked with both adult and pediatric individuals in hospitals, outpatient clinics, schools, and home health. Every experience, while challenging, is always rewarding.

Now, after over a decade in the making, I am excited to open AAC Speech Clinic.  Throughout my career and training, I have had a special interest in people with complex communication needs (i.e. non-verbal, sensory processing, ASD, Cerebral Palsy, Traumatic Brain Injury, Down Syndrome, Stroke, ALS, Parkinson's Disease) and my clinic is designed specifically to help and focus on adults and children who are non-verbal. My philosophy is that team work between family, therapists (speech, occupational, mental, health, and physical), teachers, and medical professionals, is essential to ensuring the best outcome for every person. Facilitating that team work and reaching that outcome are my central goals for every person I have the honor to work with. Speech therapy is my passion and I am beyond grateful for each and every family I am able to help.
